David Goddard
A significant contribution to the successful management of Chambers is made by the Clerks, who recognise the importance of maintaining good relations both with the Courts and with our professional clients. The Clerks' Room is a friendly and an efficient organisation.
Our Senior Clerk, David Goddard, is a past Chairman of the Institute of Barristers' Clerks. The Senior Clerk takes an active interest in all aspects of Chambers' life, and also sits on the Pupillage Committee.
In the Clerks' Room, David is assisted by Jason Doyle, Ben Lashmar, Richard Knights and Peter Campbell.
Jason Doyle became a clerk in 1985, joining Chambers in 1989. He was elected to the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks management committee in 1996 and now chairs one of its sub-committees. Jason has developed an excellent understanding of listing procedures and liaises with court staff on a daily basis.
Ben Lashmar joined us in 1992 and has also become an invaluable member of our clerking team. Between them Jason and Ben have a wealth of experience giving them a first class understanding of our clients and their needs.
During term time, the Clerks' Room is staffed from 8.00am to 8.00pm, Monday to Friday.
We have invested heavily in IT and seek to use our resources to provide the best possible service to our clients.
