Commercial Litigation
Many commercial disputes straddle different areas of the law and different divisions of the High Court: they often defy rigid classification. We are as likely to appear in the Commercial Court as in the Chancery Division in disputes over commercial contracts or the fall-out from market disasters, such as the Lloyd's and "swaps" litigation. We have a particular expertise in relation to oil and gas law, covering both advice and litigation. Members of Chambers regularly advise on both off-shore and on-shore issues, and have been involved in leading cases on the interpretation and effect of major "take-or-pay" and "send-or-pay" contracts. Our versatility is recognised by the fact that we belong both to the Commercial Bar Association and the Chancery Bar Association. Members of Chambers are among the contributing editors of Atkins Court Forms on subjects as diverse as Equitable Remedies and Bankruptcy.
